Shoei NXR 2 Beaut TC6 Helmet. Shoei evolves its successful sports full-face helmet and gives the NXR 2 of the latest technological advances. It offers high aerodynamic performance, good visibility, effective ventilation, comfortable fit, compact size, and light weight. The new Shoei NXR 2 is born as the new premium sports helmet that brings together all these features. It is the lightest Shoei helmet with the new standard ECE22/06 certificate and stands out for being extremely comfortable.

Technical characteristics

Safety

• The external shell (external structure) is made of AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix): Composed of several layers of organic fiber and fiberglass that absorbs the impacts with optimal rigidity. As in the previous model, a very compact shell has been achieved.
• The inner shell (inner structure) is made of two parts of EPS of different densities that offer a high degree of absorption to impacts. When an impact occurs, it is absorbed progressively and effectively in balance with the stiffness of the shell.
• Double ring lock. Easy to use and always with a perfect fit.
• It incorporates the EQRS system (Emergency Quick-Release System), which facilitates the removal of the helmet from the outside in case of an accident by removing the side pads.
• CWR-F2 screen that offers a wider field of vision thanks to its new shape along with a sportier design. The optical characteristics of the new CWR-F2 have been optimized thanks to its curvature and thickness further reducing possible distortions and providing a clearer and more natural vision.
• The screen has high rigidity and stability at the upper and lower ends thanks to the new blocking mechanism for the screen, which reduces the risk of accidental opening while driving at high speed. The new screen locking tab is located in the center of this and the opening and closing sensation of the screen is smoother along with easier handling. The blocking mechanism of the screen located in the middle of the lower air input holds the lower end of the center of the screen, when it is shut down and when pressing the unlock button, it is released.
• Small deflectors have also been incorporated into the sides similar to those of the CWR-F screen that contribute to improving aerodynamic performance, as well as reducing wind noise.
• The adjustment type of the settings of the screen has been changed from a dial-type mechanism to a small lever that facilitates its adjustment against the rubber of the contour of the area of vision. Compared to the adjustment dial of the previous model, by lowering the new adjustment lever, the base of the screen slides back 1 mm, achieving a better adjustment of the adhesion with the display and the rubber of the contour of the view area.
• The Pinlock Evo DKS304 series ensures ever-clear vision under any weather condition. The anti-fog foil has been redesigned and its size has increased. When relocating from the mounting pins of the foil outside the eye area to improve the lateral field of view, it is possible to cover most of the entire field of vision with the Pinlock EVO foil.

Comfort

• 4 sizes of external shell for a better fit to each size.
• The interior padding of the new NXR 2 stands out for being very comfortable. It has fully dismountable, washable, and replaceable interior padding made of very soft fabrics with high moisture absorption and quick drying.
• The inner padding for the cheeks has been redesigned but keeps the NXR characteristic side-cut line. These new side pads have been designed to decrease the pressure when you put on and remove the helmet by providing greater mobility around the neck so you can look back if necessary. In addition, the lower end of the padding has been oversized to prevent noise filtration at this point, in addition to offering a smooth and comfortable fit around the neck.
• In addition, soft tissues have been used for areas of more contact with the skin when the helmet is put on and removed, along with tissues with high moisture absorption and quick drying in the contact areas with the most tendency to sweat.
• The central padding, as with the NXR, has been designed using the Max-Dry Interior System II 3D technology to match the contour of the motorist's head.
• Padded in the ear area to reduce noise. They can be removed to carry out the installation of a motorcycle intercom.

Ventilation

• Redesigned ventilation system formed a lower air inlet, a front air inlet with two holes and two additional inputs on both sides to provide stability and adequate air inflow, especially in the sports driving position. The rear air output under the integrated spoiler is made up of four holes and has been expanded for further hot air expulsion from the inside of the helmet.

Aerodynamics / Soundproofing

• Its aerodynamics has been improved and studied in the wind tunnel to make it more silent. The aerodynamic shape of the helmet and the hermetic protection system of the vision area minimizes the appearance of noises caused by the wind. The new NXR 2 has a very different viewing area rubber contour compared with the previous model, where the screen has been improved, something that has a direct effect on the intrusion of water, wind, and possible noises caused by it. A good fit of the inner padding of the ear area also influences the reduction in wind noise.
• The pressure loads caused by the wind have been reduced by 6% upward and 4% backward compared with their predecessor according to the tests carried out in our wind tunnel.

Other features

• It incorporates a breath guard and a chin curtain.
