The Serpent SRX8 "Cobra" PRO 1/8 Nitro Buggy Kit is an evolution of the SRX8 and the SRX8 Evo, based on Serpents innovative and fast 1/8 SRX8 EVO chassis and designed to bring the driver improved handling on the track. The SRX8 PRO brings the 1/8 buggy to a higher level with more traction, easier to drive and better lap times.

Differentials

Significant enhancements have been made to the differentials with a focus on large volume and oversized gears. Although the original differentials of the SRX-8 were reliable and performed well, the evolving standards in the market demand high-quality race cars to feature high-volume, large internal gear differentials. Responding to this, we revisited our approach, completely retooling the differentials. The internal gears now boast an impressive Mod 1.25 size, making them the largest in the market.

Steering Rack

The Steering System has undergone a significant redesign with a Ball Bearing Raced Steering Rack. After testing numerous designs, this updated system contributes to a smoother driving experience or, at the very least, the perception of it. While retaining the same Ackerman plates from the previous models, which were a notable strength, the original SRX-8 steering was reliable, and this redesign maintains that reliability. However, the updated system provides a different feel, offering a more progressive response that instills confidence in driving, especially around the center.

Caster Blocks

The redesigned Inclined Caster blocks, available in 15, 17.5, and 19 degrees, are paired with updated Inclined steering spindles. This combination ensures the preservation of the original Suspension Geometry, maintaining precise track width, scrub offset, and Driveshaft length. These enhanced components contribute to smoother steering, reducing chassis roll into corners for a more stable and smooth driving experience. Additionally, they decrease responsiveness around the center, imparting a more neutral feeling to the car.
