Alpinestars Tech-Air 10 Airbag System Protection System Black / Red. The Tech-Air® 10 is the latest addition to Alpinestars Tech-Air® range, in addition to the already existing Tech-Air® 5, Tech-Air® Race and Tech-Air® Street systems.

Derived from technology developed in MotoGP, Alpinestars has redefined protection for motorcyclists who love sport riding with the Tech-Air 10® autonomous airbag system. It is a very thin airbag, it adapts very well to the body and offers protection to the area of the shoulders, chest, full back and hips.

This system can be worn under any fitted suit with any suit with 4 cm of space in the chest area and 2 cm in the hip area. Keep in mind that the suit has to be large enough to accommodate the expansion of the airbag in the event of an impact.

It offers excellent protection to the hip area and requires 2 argon gas inflators to fully fill the airbag volume in the event of an impact. The Tech-Air 10® does not have a dual charging concept.

It has an active electronic system that has 12 sensors (1 gyroscope and 3 accelerometers) with an impact algorithm that takes advantage of AI to precisely decide when to deploy the airbag in the event of an impact. The Tech-Air 10 incorporates the latest generation of technology derived and developed over years in MotoGP. Driving data from millions of kilometers and thousands of falls have also been analyzed to continuously improve the intelligent accident detection algorithm. The Tech-Air 5 detects when the pilot collides and inflates in just 40 milliseconds based on the volume of the airbag size. It offers shock absorption resulting in a decrease in impact force of up to 95% compared to a passive protector.

It is extremely easy to use, simply close the top zipper and the front belt is ready to ride. The inner belt is automatically activated when closed. In the inner belt we find the base of the device.

The LED indicator device can be put on the pilot's arm. It can also be placed on the motorcycle, depending on the rider's preferences.

In Race mode, it activates from 60 km/h (37 mph) and from 10 seconds. Below this speed/time, it is deactivated.

The Tech-Air 10 is Level 2 certified for the chest and back.

A wireless remote device with LED indicator indicates the operational status of the airbag.

The built-in lithium-ion battery lasts for 24 hours of operation. For a full charge, approximately 4 hours of USB charging is required. One hour of charging allows approximately 6 hours of use.

The system comes equipped with a magnetic micro USB Type-C charger that allows for quick and easy recharging.

The aribag is very breathable, it has air channels and perforations in the rear area to offer excellent levels of ventilation and comfort.

The Tech-Air® 10 system features a certified airbag for up to three inflations. However, after each deployment, when the system is received for repair, an Alpinestars Authorized Tech-Air® Service Center will perform an airbag inflation test to check if the airbag has been damaged during deployment. deployment. If the inflation test is passed, confirming that the airbag was not damaged during deployment, the service will involve replacement of the gas inflators only. If the inflation test fails, it means the airbag was damaged during deployment and the system will go through full service which will involve replacement of the gas inflators and airbag. On the third deployment, the system will go through a mandatory full service, with replacement of the gas inflators and the airbag.

It has Bluetooth connectivity and through the integrated Tech-Air® application you can check the operating status of the system, the status of the battery and it allows you to see a detailed analysis of the route. System firmware can also be updated directly through the app.

It has been designed for use on the track and on the road and can be used in Race and Street modes thanks to the AI impact detection algorithm. Race mode has been designed for track use.

The base layer of the Tech-Air® 10 is removable and washable.

The base layer is attached to the system via side zippers. This allows the inner base layer to be changed from batch to batch.
